1,000 plastic ducks released into the river which head down towards the sea where they are caught.

Sunday 23 August 2026, race starts at 3.30pm. Ducks available to buy from the Londis in Cubert or on the beach from volunteers who will be selling ducks near the bridge as you walk onto the beach.
There is a national trust car park in Holywell but leave plenty of time to park, walk to the beach and buy a duck before the race starts.
£50 cash prize for the winner.
